Slate.
Vermont, Spanish, and Welsh slates for traditional architecture and heritage restorations. Slate is a generational roof — a hundred-year material with a hundred-year specification. We work with the original drawings (or with a current architect referenced to the original) on slate gauge, exposure, and detailing at the valleys, hips, and ridges.
Cedar shake.
Where allowed by code and HOA, hand-split #1 grade cedar shake on the appropriate architectural typologies. Cedar is uncommon in Paradise Valley because of the wildfire and ember exposure on hillside properties; we install it only where the spec is correct for the location.
Heritage tile.
Discontinued tile profiles sourced from heritage suppliers and salvage networks for replacement-in-kind on architectural restorations. These projects are scheduled around the lead time of the material — frequently three to nine months.
