Architectural read.
The home is a single-pitch mid-century property on the upper slope of Mummy Mountain, with a continuous standing seam roof on a shallow pitch and an architecturally critical eave detail that defines the elevation from the street.
We coordinated with a current architecture firm referenced to the original drawings on panel width, seam height, and termination geometry at the eave.
Specification.
Snap-lock standing seam in a 16-inch panel width with 1.75-inch seam height; concealed-fastener detailing throughout. Kynar 500 PVDF finish in a custom color matched to the original through manufacturer color match. Synthetic high-temperature underlayment beneath the panels, with additional flashing detail at the heat-loaded west exposure.
Install and documentation.
Direct W-2 crew, mock-up reviewed and approved before fabrication, panels factory-formed for finish consistency, and on-site fabrication of architectural trim. Photographic documentation at every layer. Closed-permit documentation delivered with the project file at completion.
Outcome.
A roof that reads as it always read from the street, with a manufacturer-registered material warranty and a 25-year workmanship warranty in writing. The original eave detail preserved, with no contractor instinct overlaid.
